Oh the magic of candy!

I was expecting today to be quite a boring day at work. I was going to be stuck behind the desk for the better part of 12 hours so I figured that it would be a rather mind numbingly boring day broken up by the occasional person needing something. I was graced with the Lulz Fairy this morning. The Lulz Fairy came in the form of a family member of one of the residents. She truly didn’t mean to bring the Lulz Fairy, but she did, and for that Hail Eris.

The particular lady is older than her sibling, who lives there. She’s very involved in volunteer work, mentoring and other such deeds of kindness. She also likes to bring goodies to everyone from time to time. She was helping with something, she didn’t say what, she was rather harried this morning, and had a large bag of chocolates from something and everyone was welcome to them. I thanked her and took the large bag and set it on the desk. I grabbed a basket, figuring that I could dump some in it and put it up on the counter so people could help themselves.

That was until I actually reached into the bag. And stared at the sweet confection at the end of my hand. I turned it, hoping I was not seeing what I was seeing. Nope. No change. I took out several other pieces. Nope. No change at all. They were all molded chocolates, some smaller pieces and others on sticks like lollipops. I had made similar candies when I was a kid. These were, I hope, not made by children. Thank you lulz fairy. You made all of our days better. And no, I never did give any out. They’re hiding in the back office for the boss to see. She was out of town today.

Without further ado, I present, the candy.
